Developed alongside the Wild 2, a wing designed for challenges like the X-Alps, the Birdy 2 benefits from innovations from the R&D of a high-performance wing, notably thanks to work on internal cutouts and optimized suspension which allow for significant weight savings.
Its ergonomic risers make reading easy during preflight. The connection between the risers and the lines is now made using maillons and no longer connect, facilitating handling if necessary.
Dual homologation to suit all drivers
To best enjoy your paraglider wing, it is important to be correctly positioned within the wing’s all-terrain weight range. This is why the Birdy 2 is available in 6 sizes instead of the usual 5, allowing you to optimize your positioning within the all-terrain weight range. To best enjoy your Birdy 2, Supair recommends choosing a all-terrain weight where you are in the upper half of the range.
The Birdy 2 has undergone dual load testing, meaning the smaller sizes were tested separately from the larger ones to best suit the specific requirements of each. This allows for the use of materials and lines tailored to each size: thinner lines on smaller sails reduce drag, thus maximizing performance.
The Birdy 2 has also been developed in an XXS size to meet the needs of smaller riders who often struggle to find a wing suited to their weight. The 50-65 kg range allows lightweights to more easily fall into the upper half of the all-weight range, and therefore, benefit from an optimal experience under their wing.
